"I smoke I drink I do my thing
I'm livin' in my own world
and if they hate I let them
Who gives a f**k?
Anyone who know about what I do
I'm livin' in my own world
I chill back and I spit thee some love,yeah".......
These were Kid Cudi's words on the chorus of 'I do my thing' featuring Snoop dogg. Hit or not, Kid has my heart right from his 'Man on the moon' album to this new album 'Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager' which I am loving so much at the moment...practically spent my whole night listening to the album with a few friends and they must agree with me that Kid Cudi did aiight.
My favorite songs on the album are: Marijuana, Mojo so dope, I do my thing & Mr. Rager
Here's a link to download the album for free: http://str8ghtkrack.com/kid-cudi-man-on-the-moon-ii-the-legend-of-mr-rager-2010-retail/
In Expectation.....
As Nicki Minaj's 'Pink Friday' album is set to be in stores November 22 which is in two days..I'm feeling all 'pinky' already so I decided to put up pictures of pink things I love and find beautiful:
These pink louboutins are an eye catcher.saw a girl rocking it yesterday and couldnt stop thinking of how fabulous it looks...I love it!
I would normally prefer a fushia stylish jacket in pink rayon but this simple blazer just caught my eyes...I can't help but imagine how good it would look with a pair of jeans and white/black blouse...classic!
I have got mad love for charms so I guess it was easy for this beautiful 'Alice in wonderland' charm bracelet to attract me..It is so girly and very vintage. Its a piece I would love to wear on a very happy day.
Spotted this coach bag in a store last week and I thought it should be part f my list..Its classy and stylish..well the charms attached to my blackerry is also coach so I probably have love for anything 'coach'
Finally on my list is this key ring mercedes benz pink charm..I love it because it is simple, pink and made for mercedes

Frivolous or not
Was having a chit-chat with a friend of mine concerning new technology and stuffs then he goes on and calls blackberry frivolous. I paused for a minute there cos to me blackberry is a necessity but as he explains further I realise he dosen't mean completely useless but somthing you could actually use.something you have been willing to buy but you have to put on backlog because you have more practical things on your list. that is his take on blackberry though...its just something cool on his list but not a necessity.I feel differently..to me blackberry is not a little frivolous something that would make me smile.its my escape from boredom and also a path in which I find solace..lol
I remember when I got my first blackberry,It was christmas 2009 and I was so excited I was finally getting something I trully wanted though alot of my friends didn't have one but I was happy still..lol..
as time went by I appreciated my blackberry more..I found twitter..a place where I could put up all my silly thoughts and getaway with it. I have had so many bbm moments and met crazy ass people, all thanks to my blackberry.
My friend dosen't understand my obsession with my blackberry but all the same I explained to him that to me there is nothing frivolous about the blackberry....frivolous items could be that MAC tourqiouse blue nail varnish I have always wanted or those badass bing earphones so I could listen to loud music throughout my day, leaving the world behind.
as far as I am concerned my blackberry is not a frivolous something.on the contrary its my perfect companion, it makes me happy when people of the world choose to piss me off...and I am happy I have one..frivolous or not

Nolly-magic
I'm blogging and watching africamagic at the same time.there's this movie showing with Jim Iyke and Rita Dominic as led characters.didn't start from the beginning but so far the lead characters are doing well but omo check out the other characters....you go fear mediocre actings finally making the movie look mediocre! well what can i say...some nollywood movies dont even measure up.its either bad production or terrible acting.i dont want to go into details of this movie I'm seeing cos its kinda pathetic..Idon't know if its by force to act o.
well..I decided to google best nigerian movies to figure out movies that have made their mark over the years and this is what I found to be the best of Nollywood so far:
well...I dont know how true this is but i can spot classics like Osuofia in london and Behind closed doors I remember had RMD, Stella Damasus and Desmond Elliot as its led characters and I remember it being a very good movie so its possible this list is correct.
Anyways it dosen't matter if this list is correct or not,all I know is Nollywood can do better and as the years go by I see improvements in production and even better acting. Infact movies like Figurine and Ije are movies making waves both nationally and internationally...which is really good. I'm not a huge fan of Nigerian movies but I am positive that in a couple of years there would be a couple of them I might die for...

I Love Chunky!
hmmm wat can I say? today was one of those days I just want to stay in bed and do nothing.well i almost succeeded..lol. I practically spent my whole day calling up artists, publicists etc and also compiling freestyles from different artists which I did in the comfort of my room anyways. while I was at it, I came across some statement neckpieces by Giia on Esty n I fell in love immediately. They are an unusual piece and I could imagine wearing one on a beautiful dress (wishful thinking).I have a thing for statement jewelleries especially neckpieces because they are beautiful and brings out the elegance in every outfit. There is nothing better than up a plain sweater,a blouse and a dress than big, bold statement neckpieces. They are very trendy and could also cost a fortune but you can always get a look for less.
I love this piece because it is very elegant and can give your dress that stunning look on the red carpet or even a dinner party.
I particularly love charm neckpieces because they are vintage and they give that simple blouses and plain sweaters an edgier look....here are pieces i love
Statement jewelleries are a must have in every woman's collection because they are tres chic. Chunky neckpieces like these brings out bold and sassy in every woman. It adds a fabulous finish to every look. They are real eyecatchers.

LBD gone african
In 1926 Coco Chanel introduced the LBD as a classic piece of fashion. Since then it has never changed, it has remained perfectly simple yet a sexy object. Through the years, it has undergone hemlines, shoulder, strap and fabric variation but has still remained a timeless piece.
Being able to work a LBD comes with a lot of boldness and confidence as black is a colour of elegance and sophistication.
LBD combines with African prints is extra fabulous. It is stunning, glamorous and elegant all together. It can be dressed up and down perfectly for every occasion
This colourful piece of Ankara made bracelet by Ituen basi can be worn with a little black dress for a casual occasion.
This Ankara neckpiece also by Ituen basi can also be worn on a little black dress with pumps for a red carpet occasion
This beautiful purse made out of African prints can also work the LBD for a classy African look.
A colourful scarf can also help add colour to this ageless piece. The LBD is worth spending as much money on.
First step is to find identify your body type to know what looks good on you then find the perfect LBD and make it your own.....define your style.
Black gives perfection to every body type and is stunning anyway the wearer chooses to rock it!

Love Erosion
Love is when being in love has washed away......
It is when you feel the overwhelming urge to care for someone even in thier weakest and vulnerable moments and still go on a journey you are unsure of....
You get to gradually know the person and you are entralled by the wonderful things around them....
You don't care about their imperfections, wart and all....
-Angela Matalda
When the surface of love has been washed away, imperfections are overlooked and are viewed as perfection. That point when you put someone over all that matters to you in the world, making them feel safe when they are around you.....that place is where we all want to be....to have someone to hold firm to our hearts with no doubts.
'Every little thing you do makes me fall in love with you' is a phrase in your heart...that phrase that expresses what your lover means to you....where real love exists and your heart belongs to just that person
We all long for this kind of love...where we can have someone to hold for real...someone who we can be ourselves with..that person who we can call the 'ONE'
In all we do,we should always have in mind that love requires willingness, hardwork and patience so be true to who you are and love right.

Naked Angel
Who is the naked angel?....she is that woman who offers endless support and comfort in her relationship and does around her,she is emotionally open in her deep spiritual nature...she is generous and open to those they care about and love.
Another name for her is 'hidden resources'..she has so much to give but still dosent give all away. She is talented and has so much to offer the world with her calm sensual nature.
She gains inner peace by giving to others, and in many respects this is the most generous and selfless quality. She is highly sympathetic, compassionate, self-sacrificing, intuitive and unassuming. She absorbs emotions from the environment around her.
In all she is very mysterious and can live in two worlds all at the time...her world of dreams where she gets all the space she needs to connect with her spirituality and the other world of reality where she gets to face the real world in all her uniqueness.....she is shy but fearless and is a saviour to the needy
There is a naked angel in all of us...that thing that makes us all stand out, that uniqueness that makes one woman the envy of another...that uniqueness that makes us all special in the eyes of men.

NAIJA KITCHEN
My day started on a very good note. woke up,took a shower and headed out with my best friend Rennie to North Legon.there we met up with my girl Angel and decided to visit the Nigerian market in madina...it was my first time there and i was fansinated by all the things i could find there, though at very ridiculous prices.
My girlfriends who were craving so much for a home cooked meal decided they were going to cook!..we bought a few things and headed back home to Westlegon where my friends were going to show me what good cooks they are...they decided to prepare Egusi soup!
It took a while to boil the meat and get the soup ready but they sure did a fantastic job.........Up Rennie,Up Angel..you girls would make good wives some day!*wink
Here is a recipe for Egusi soup for those who are aboard and are longing for 'home food'
Ingredients
Cooking Method
Egusi soup is best served with pounded yam . It could also be eaten with eba, made from garri , or even semolina, or ground rice

Here is a recipe for Egusi soup for those who are aboard and are longing for 'home food'
Ingredients
- Egusi seed (Grounded, 1-2 cups)
- Palm oil ¾ - 1½ cup
- Bitter Leaf - freshly squeezed, or dried or spinach / ugwu / any other fresh vegetable as may be available
- Cray fish about ¼ cup grounded
- Dried pepper or chilli 1 table spoonful or to taste
- Maggi cubes or Knorr 1 – 2 cubes
- Thyme about ½ teaspoonful
- Curry Powder ½ - 1 teaspoonful
- Real African Red Onions - spicy. 1 – 3 (Chopped)
- Cooking salt
- Fresh or smoked fish or stock fish
- Goat meat (chopped to size)
- Assorted meat – beef, ox tail, cow tongue, chicken, as can be obtained, about ½ kg each
- Chopped tomatoes (blended)
- Fresh pepper with or substituted for grounded dried pepper.
Cooking Method
- If you are using stock fish, be sure to have soaked the stock fish in water overnight to make it soft and cook faster.
- Put your goat meat and or assorted meat into a pot. Add cooking salt, 1 bulb of onion, chopped to small sizes, ½ teaspoonful of thyme, curry powder, and a small amount of water (about 2cups), one or two maggi cubes and bring to boil for about 30 minutes until soft and tender to taste.
- While that is cooking, put your chopped tomatoes (1-2 tins), fresh and or dried pepper, 1 bulb of real African red onions into a blender and blend to a smooth paste
- Your egusi seeds must have come in blended (grounded). If they are not, this is the time to grind them in a blender dried (in the small bit of the blender for dried materials). Take 1-2 cups of grounded egusi and put in a bowl, add 2 parts of water to a part of grounded egusi in the bowl and stir to form a paste. Some people do not do it this way. They leave the grounded egusi dry and stir fry it instead in palm oil. You can do it either way. Here, the first method will be used
- The meat should have finished cooking by now. Get a big pot. Place it on the cooker and allow it to be hot, with all residue of water drying out. Do not let it burn though. Pour about ¾ - 1½ cup (150 – 300mls) of red palm oil in the pot. Be careful here, it could smoke and splash around, with risk of you been burnt! Allow the oil to warm for about 1 minute. Pour the blended tomatoes, fresh/dried pepper, onion paste into the oil and stir fry for about another 10 -15 mutes.
- Now add the cooked meat to this base of stew and cover the pot and allow to simmer for about 3 minutes. Stir intermittently to prevent burning.
- The egusi paste (or fried) can now be added to the stew with meat in it. Add your vegetables here, salt and one or two cubes of maggi if still required to taste and bring to boil for about 10 minutes. Stir intermittently.
Egusi soup is best served with pounded yam . It could also be eaten with eba, made from garri , or even semolina, or ground rice
